Q: What kind of 5 speed manual transmission comes in a 1995 chevrolet c/k 2500 4×4?
i have a 1995 chevy 4×4 3/4 ton with a 5 speed manual i cant seem to figure out how to determine what kind of transmission i have
A: I think it is a NV4500 but not positive.
Q: I have a C/K 1500 Chevrolet pickup that the heater motor will not come on every time .?
I have checked the relays and replaced the resistor with no help. It seem like early of the morning when things are cooler it won’t always come on driving with air coming through it will after a while. Some day not at all. Is there another temp sensor in the system?
A: If you can get to the heater switch, with the ignition on, take a wire and jump across the switch, if the motor runs (Repeat 2 or 3 times) then it may be just a bad switch. if that doesn’t work put power directly to the motor. if that doesn’t work, with power still to the motor use the “jumper wire” to ground the motor. If still not working the motor windings may be bad and you need a new/rebuilt motor.
Q: What size rim can i put on 1997 Chevrolet C/K pickup?
A: from 15in to 22in without any problems, 23 or 24s you might have to do some trimming inside the fenders, and your ride will be rough because the tires will be short 30-45 series

Q: 1985 CHEVROLET C/K 10 SERIES K10 will be 2WD or 4WD or can you go back and fourth from one another?
A: only the k10 is 4wd, it will come with either auto front hubs or aftermarket manual front hubs. it is no problem to shift from 2wd to 4wd high or 4wd low range.
we have an 85k10 turbo diesel and love it (we’ve owned it for 14 years) over the years we have added lots of aftermarket up grades including limited slip/electric lockers f/r, rear disk brakes, and 6.5 diesel engine.
parts are very available and the truck is easy to work on.

Q: Question about Chevrolet C/K Pickup?
I have a 1992 C/K pickup…1500 if it matters. Anybody who knows a thing or two observes that the grill style is different from that of one 1994 year model or higher. Mine is flat and makes it look like a grampa truck. I was wondering if these grills are interchangeble? i do think they are but is there any modifications involved? or can i just throw it on and go? PS i’m wanting to put a 94-98 grill style on it.
A: You will have to change the grille, grille shell, lower filler panel, and bumper brackets.
Q: questions about Chevrolet c/k automatic hubs????? HELP!!!?
Can you convert a 90’s chevy c/k pick-up from auto hubs to manual locking hubs????? I love the 90’s era chevy c/k pick-ups but i hate the fact that they have automatic locking hubs because auto hubs are very unreliable, so is it possible to replace the auto hubs with manual locking hubs, if so how expensive is it to convert to manual locking hubs on a chevy pick-up
A: Warn hubs run about 150 here in canada. It sure saves gas.
Q: Horsepower of a 5.7 liter 1988 Chevy C/K 1500?
5.7 liter 1988 Chevrolet C/K 1500 stepside, says 80 mph on the speedometer, whats the horsepower produced, torque, and approximate 0-60 for this truck?
A: IIRC 205 HP, 290 ft lbs, and the 0-60 time is gonna be NO where close to the other answer you got. More like 10 sec. 0-60 due to the heavy weight of the truck and kinda low HP
Q: ideal audio setup for 73-87 c/k pickups?
i have a 1977 chevrolet k30 reg. cab that i would like to put a subwoofer in under the seat, because i don’t want to sacrifice the space behind the seat. any suggestions?
i also want to get the polk SR series 6.5 inch component system system. where should the speakers be installed for best performance?

A: Maybe 8″ lucky to fit a 10″ there. Go with like 300watts for the small truck. That should make you gets some “wow’s” and i think only two speakers in the front doors.
Q: Where can I find tail light cables?
I own a 1989 Chevrolet c/k series pickup truck. The tail light cable connected to the circuit board that the bulbs are plugged into on the driver side has a short and needs to be replaced. Where online can I find a website that has the cable I need? I have searched all over and cannot find the cable online. I have even contacted local businesses in my area and they can’t get them either.

A: if the dealer no longer carries them, then there is a reasonably good chance that they will be difficult to find online.
when in doubt, check the junk yard.

Q: Is the Chevrolet Truck road wheel the same as the Chrysler full size road wheel?
I have noticed something that I’d like to verify. The 70s-80s Chevy c-10/ GMC c/k truck oem road wheel looks just like the 70s-80s Chrysler full size (300,imperial,Cordoba, sport fury(Plymouth), Monaco(dodge)) road wheel. Are they? the only difference I noticed was the trim rings and the center cap. Is this the same wheel? and if so can they be interchanged? Thank You

A: the best lesson you can ever get on that vehicle is to buy a repair manual on it and read the whole book ,haynes makes the vest manual on those vehicles and by the time you get done you,ll know what each size bolt is that holds it together,there really isn’t any sites that put all this together on one vehicle,but the manuals cover this and that’s the best lesson you can ever get ,good luck.

A: Yours is a chevy k20 scottsdale .Scottsdale was the trim package it had.the trim packages went custom delux,scottsdale,then silverado was the top of the line.K indicates 4×4,C indicates 2 wheel drive they came in 10 wich was half tone 20 wich was 3/4 ton and k 30 wich was 1 ton

And KEN.. That is brake power (BHP)
All the word “brake” means is that the engine was loaded, not free reving against a dyno when tested.
Very big diff in BHP and RWHP or WHP.. Where RWHP or WHP stands for rear wheel or wheel horse power..
Engine dynos test the HP at the crankshaft of engine..
Chassis dynos test HP at the driven wheels.
You loose 15-20% of HP through the drivetrain
