Q: I have a 1993 Chevrolet s-10 pickup that will not start. Can anyone help?
The truck started when I bought it and ran for about 1 month. It always started roughly and once you turned off the engine you had to wait for 1 hour or so before it would start again.

We replaced the fuel pump and after 3 hours under the truck it still would not start. I have been told there is no fuel reaching the fuel injectors. I have listened to hear if the fuel pump kicks on and it did not as far as I could tell. Thanks for any help.
I have replaced the fuel filter as well. The truck trys to start and I had used fuel in-a-can sprayed onto the injectors to get it started but it dies shortly afterward.
There is voltage to the pump, I did check that but it still is not working. No pinched or corroded fuel lines.

I know there is no fuel getting to the injectors because I took off the fuel lines at the injectors in the engine and by the fuel filter and there was no fuel at all in the lines so i would assume there isn’t any pressure either.

A: Somewhere on the fuel line to the injectors or the throttle body if it’s throttle body injected is a fitting that has threads on it.Having a TRUSTED mechanic put a fuel pressure testing gauge on that fitting will tell you if fuel is getting to the engine. If there is no fuel going to the engine then either the new fuel pump is bad or there is a obstruction in the fuel line.Having someone lie under the vehicle near the fuel pump while someone else turns the key to the ON NOT THE START position you should be able to hear the pump running or not.If the pump is running and there is pressure on the gauge then you need to start checking the ignition system.

Q: I have a 1993 chevrolet s-10 blazer, it is stuck in 4 wheel lo. how do I get it unstuck?
it is the electronic push button. something goes click. but it won’t engage.

A: 1. raise each wheel off of the ground with a suitable jack and jack stands.

2. place transfer case and tranny in nuetral with engine off..

3. rotate front tires by hand to relieve all gear binding.

4. start engine and electrically release 4×4 per owners manual instructions.

Does this help any?

Disclaimer: Do nothing to get run over…

Q: how do i wire windshield wipers for a 1993 chevrolet S-10?

A: The question is not informative. What part of the wiring system needs to be fixed. If your switch is broken and you are bypassing it,then just run a hot wire from the fuse block to a inter cab switch and then to the hot wire on the wiper motor. If possible you will be better off repairing back to stock so it will work properly.

Q: How did I ruin my 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Tahoe LT Blazer’s 4×4 Transmission when i drove in 4-HI on Dry Roads?
I remember.. I had a 1993 Chevrolet Blazer Tahoe LT, and i was 18 i think, and i thought “Hey, I can leave this in 4-HI all the time and get better Traction and be Safer!” .. 3 days to a Week later the Transmission was “Dead”…

. can anyone tell me how Leaving it in 4-HI all the time made the Engine be hotter (if i rememebr right, it stats at 220, overheats starting at 240, digital gauges) and then just “Had a Ruined Trans”? Something about “Its supposed to work when its Slippery?” I forgot….

A: haha i saw your answer to the other question. There are some problems with running 4HI everywhere

1) extra wear driving all 4 tires
2) different gear ratios can cause problems on dry pavement
3) turning is a bitch
4) you don’t really need it unless its crappy weather.

Q: 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer fuel injection?
4.3 Vortec engine. Where is the spider injector located, and what does it look like and how do you remove it?

A: Idk, I think maybe your vehicle has a throttle body injection system?

Q: trying to figure out if i should get a slide in camper or a pop up camper and if my truck can handle it?
I have a 1991 chevrolet s10 extended cab it has a v6, its a manual, i’m trying to decide whether i should get a slide in camper or one of those pop up campers you tow, i’m really not sure what the max limit you can haul but i’ll post some websites i found about my truck, I’d really love to get a slide in, but which one would be better?? plan on doing alot of traveling.

thaanks
is there any certain things i should get for my truck like curtain type of tires or any suspention ect thannnks
a slide seems really convenient, is one of those tow pop up campers a pain to get ready?, if i’m traveling you think i could pop it up in a walmart parking alot?
meant to say (slide in) answers are greatly appreciated, i’m really trying to find some answers, thanks

A: The trailer has the one advantage, you can leave it somewhere. You don’t have to secure everything if you just need to run to the store, with a camper everything has to be secured any time you move.

Q: How do I remove the windshield wiper switch?
I have a 1993 Chevrolet S-10 2.8L 5-speed with a bad windshield wiper switch. I subscribe to ALLDATADIY.com and have used the information obtained there to remove the steering wheel, steering column lock, turn signal cam, lock cylinder and everything needed to get access to the windshield wiper switch. The steering column has no tilt wheel.
I know that particular switch has a rod that goes from it, down the outside of the steering column to the headlight bright & dim switch, I have a new replacement switch already but I just can’t see how to remove the old one. I did proper troubleshooting to determine that the switch is bad and not the module on the wiper motor.
Even the information on the ALLDATA site is pretty vague and doesn’t really say how to remove the switch.

Does anybody know how to remove this switch or know where I can find useful information to get this job done? I’ve asked nearly everybody I can think of except a Chevrolet dealer but they wouldn’t tell me anyway for obvious reasons. They’re in the business of fixing cars, not giving out free information. This one really has me stumped.
Thanks in advance for any helpful information.
I already know where the rod comes through at the switch. That’s not the issue. The switch pivots there because it’s also part of the turn signal assembly. If I can figure out how to get that pivot point apart, the switch will come right out. I’ve been all over that area with a fine toothed comb and there are no retainer screws or clips. The pivot looks to be pressed in from the backside (or bottom side) and there’s no way to access that area. There’s got to be a way to remove it otherwise they wouldn’t make a replacement switch.

A: We have recently uploaded some videos on our company website to give you first hand viewing of how to remove, disassemble, and reassemble the tilt column you are talking about. They are broken down into step by step 2-3 minute detailed videos with instructions. Although the videos are for a Chevrolet truck, the column is very similar to yours.

Q: A question about ay brakes?
I have a 1993 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, high mileage, 2.8 L engine, 5-speed manual transmission. It has power assisted anti lock brakes. While I sit at a stoplight or anywhere that I have to sit with my foot on the brake, the brake pedal will very slowly sink to the floor causing the brake warning light to illuminate. Pumping the pedal will allow me to pump the pressure back up. I have checked for leaks at each wheel and along the brake lines. No leaks. The brake linings are in good condition on all wheels. Also no leaks at the master cylinder or the anti lock brake unit. The brake fluid level is ok and never changes although it’s dirty and needs flushed. The vacuum hose supplying the brake booster seems to be in good condition. I don’t know the maintenance history of the truck but I’m assuming that it has the original master cylinder and anti lock brake unit. Could this condition be caused by just a worn out master cylinder or could the anti lock brake unit have something to do with it?

I’m going to try just bleeding the brakes first, then if the problem persists, I’ll check elsewhere. Does anybody have any good answers for this problem?
I have access to a TECH 2 scan tool so setting the anti lock unit properly for bleeding shouldn’t be a problem.

A: HI
that’s a typical sign of a bad master cylinder..
good luck

Q: Car Stereo has no power?
I took out the old stock radio and before i did that the radio worked. it turned on and played music. I plugged the wire harness in and heard a pop. i think the end of the wires touched. after connecting all the wires i turned on my radio and discovered no power. then i checked the fuse box and all of them were fine. so now i have no power and no radio.the car still works just not the radio. I plugged the old one in and it still didnt work. no power. I have a 1993 Chevrolet Blazer S 10.

A: A good way to check to see if it has power is take a POWER WIRE and hook it to the yellow and red wire on the back of the cd player then hook the other end to the positive termanal on the battery than take a GROUND wire and hook it to the black wire on the back of the cd player and the other end to the negitve terminal on your battery if it dosn’t turn on then check your fuse on the back of the cd player.

GOOD LUCK!!
