He introduced himself as the father of the boy to whom she had sold a new Chevrolet Avalanche for fifteen dollars and demanded to know why she did it.
“Well,” she said, “this morning I got a phone call from my husband. I thought he was on a coffee break, but learned from a friend he had ran off to Hawaii with his mistress and really doesn’t intend to come back. He claimed he was stranded and asked me to sell his new Chevrolet Avalanche and send him the money. So I did.”

Q: Did Chevrolet make a 305 SS truck in 1990-93?
Someone was telling me about an early 90’s chevy truck that is for sale, they described it as a black 305 SS chevy shortbed. I know they made a 454 SS, but have not heard of a 305 SS. Anyone else heard of one?
A: It is a faker truck. Probably made up to look like a 454SS, but has a 305 under the hood instead.
Q: I need a Chevrolet truck guru?
My husband has a 1986 chevy c30 dually that was formerly a sweeper truck. He installed a 73-87 fleetside bed. Rear wheels fit under the bed, but there is a 5″ gap between the bed and cab. He is going to narrow the floor and widen the wheel wells, which looks nice. Today he saw a dually for sale, same year, and measured the space from the front of the bed to the front of the wheel arch. Both measure the same. Anyone know why there is a difference? He said he didn’t see any holes in the frame where someone relocated the rearend. Any ideas?

A: Hmmm. Are you sure it is an 86? The 88 and 89 one ton pickups came as a cab and chassis, and were the old body style. (Looked like 87 and before) The rear axle was back a little farther. I put a bed on one, and when the opening was centered over the rear wheels, it left the gap that you are talking about between the bed and the cab. I had a welder build a nice headache rack that cam up off the frame, matched the curves of the bed, painted it to match, and it looked very nice. It would make you look twice, but wasnt bad.
Thats odd. i guess i dont really know, maybe for a couple years prior, if it was ordered from the factory as a cab and chassis, they may have had a longer wheel base. I guess its possible, as people rarely put beds on them. They usually got flat beds, or utility boxes, or some other thing, like wrecker beds. I would think you would be better off to deal with the space in there, as opposed to trying to move the axle forward, thats probably a pretty fair project. Hope ive helped at least a little.
Q: Does anyone know the 1960-1966 Chevrolet -GMC truck interior color code?
I am restoring a 64 c-10 back to original. The correct color is a light gold / bronze color. Every 60 -66 model I have ever seen was this color. I have factory paint chips, But no interior color is are included.
Tried numerous paint stores to no avail. There is no code on the trim tag for the interior , only the exterior. I have found this paint for sale for about $150. per quart through a online restoration supplier, But I will go there as a last resort. Any help is greatly appreciated.
A: there are factory option color codes online with chip ID I used it on my 57 to get the bright metallic mint green interior back to stock it took napa paints a few tries but i ended getting it right for only 32 dollars

Q: Is there anywhere online to find programming instructions for keyless remotes for a chevrolet silverado?
I’ve got a new remote from a garage sale that an old lady had and she didn’t have the instructions anymore. When i bought my truck the book was gone and I don’t have mine. Is there a website by GM somewhere or is it posted anywhere ???
A: You don’t program the remote. You program the cars computer to accept the remote. Post the year of the vehicle and I could probably help you out as GM doesn’t like to give out service info for free.
Q: Unpaid Auto on Ebay, Buyer wants Paypal deposit back?
Ok. I sold an 1968 classic chevrolet truck on ebay for my decease great grandfather. Auction ended june 26th. Buyer had 48 hours to submit $200.00 by Paypal the remaining balance will need given once pickup truck from me with money order or cashier check or cash. I even said the truck was **as is sale** please come by and see truck before purchasing/bidding on it. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
Ok. i didn’t have problem with Paypal deposit. I got that. Ok. Ebay buyer calls me and tells me that he was picking up truck july 3rd. Ok. I wasn’t there to meet him I had to work that morning. My uncle was there and Ebay Buyer told my uncle the truck had items on it he didn’t like, for instance nick nack (as I explained in my description). Buyer also state the truck didn’t have any oil in the oil pan and he wants to know if he could get his $200.00 back and he would come back and purchase that afternoon after i get off work (because i had the title and keys on me). That being said. I call the buyer and see what the deal is after i got off work. I even specify time to meet him after work to my uncle house. I waited, waited, waited until it got dark from 2:30pm to 9:30pm. Ebay never came or answer my phone or emails. So, what should I do? Do i give him his money back? If so, what about my ebay fees i paid in the amount of $125.00 and some to Ebay and Paypal. Will I be recovering my money. Or once i file an upaid strike against him on after July 6th. Will I get my fees i paid back or who gets what?
The buyer had 10 days after june 26th to submit payment in full. July 6th is the last day. I will file an unpaid strike on the $611.00. But, what should I do? Who is being fair here? If i choose to sell it to the second offer on ebay will i still have to pay fees on that as well, ($125.00), again?

A: you will be refunded for the entire amount and if you sell your truck to the second highest bidder both paypal and Ebay will take their pecentage etc from the amount you get fromthe 2′nd buyer.
This has caused you alot of inconvience and i should know because i was an Ebay power seller for a year or so;
I am just a plain ole Ebayer now i think i buy more than i sell.
As for your first buyer go ahead and file an unpaid item dispute against him or her so the rest of us Ebayers can see his feedback score.

I don’t believe it, but the more I look into it, the more I think it’s going to happen. The El Camino could be making its return to the GM line in the United States for sale as soon as 2009, or as late as 2011.
Is this just a creative way to lose money? or do you think GM will have success in bringin’ back the El Camino?
I have always loved El Caminos.. they had there distinct uglier models as well, but I still ALWAYS wanted one as a kid growing up. (I also had the notion I’d have a Harley Davidson to put in the back lol)…. Anyways, Just wanted everyone elses input on if they think this venture would sink or swim for GM?
AND… If it did happen, could GM use the El Camino in the Craftsman Truck Series? It’s considered a truck… I think
A: Unfortunately, every sanctioning body I have dealt with has considered Elkies, and Rancheros as neither cars nor pick-ups. That really sucks, because I thought I had a really good way to “cheat” with my aerodynamics, making the bed of a Ranchero nothing more than a giant wing.
BTW, that’s not a bad looking vehicle, but I’m still partial to Ford’s Falcon Ute down under!!!
Q: Chevrolet Xtreme s10 4 dr extend cab pickup?
I want to buy this truck at the beginning of the year so if anyone knows someone that has one for sale or may be thinking about selling one, I need it bad!! I used to own a 2003 xtreme Blazer and I totaled it. Now I am in love with the Xtreme pickups. 4 dr extend cab is just perfect for me.
