This site may help…..with a/c or without?

Q: Where does the “spider injectors/valve” go on a 1992 Chevy blazer s-10?
I have a 1992 Chevy blazer s-10 that the spider valve is shot on. i was wondering the location of the part and how hard it is to install a website address with good pics will guarantee a best answer rating
Extra info: it is a V-6 Vortec automatic optional 4 wheel drive

A: They are located in the intake plenum. The plug for the system is located just behind the throttle body. You will need to remove everything on top of the intake plenum and the plenum itself. It isn’t really a hard job, just time consuming.

Replace the fuel injector and the spider tubes.

Q: If I install a throttle body spacer on my 1992 Chevy S-10, will my hood have enough clearance to close?
1992 Chevy S-10 P/U Regular Cab/ 4.3 Liter Automatic 700R transmission.

A: How big is the spacer? Like was said before….place a cubed cardboard piece on top of your air cleaner and see if it gets crushed when you close the hood. If the spacer is not too drastic, you shouldn’t have a problem.

Q: 1992 chevy S-10 not sending heat to vents and its not debri can any one help?

A: Assuming your heater coil is good Its probably your vacuum switch.Look for a skinny black plastic line coming out of your firewall. If its come undone it will cause your controls not to switch from defrost to the floor or middle position like it should.Your heater and air controls are all powered by engine vacuum.

Q: 1992 Chevy s-10 not getting fire to the spark plugs?
put new sparkplugs in and still won’t start? Any ideas on what the problem could be?

A: how do you know the plugs arent firing?
your distributor has a pick up coil and a module under the cap. check those two.
Check to see all your connections to distributor are tight.
Check the coil too

Q: Any differences between a 1992 S-10 and a 1992 GMC Sanoma?
My brother has a 1992 Chevy S-10 pickup and he believes it doesn’t have near the power that his friends 1992 GMC Sanoma has. Both trucks have the same 4.3 liter V-6. He claims neither has the Vortech V-6. Maybe the Sanoma is geared lower and that’s why it gets out of the hole better? If there’s any GM truck geniuses out there please let me know about any powertrain differences. Thanx!

A: The Engines are identical, 4.3L TBI Vortec V-6. If they are both automatics then the transmissions are also identical. If the are both manual transmissions, the same applies. It is possible however that they have different gear ratios. You can check the spid labels in the glove boxes to compare the rpo codes, look for codes that begin with G such as GT4 or GU6, if they have different G codes then they have different gear ratios, if they have the same G codes than your brother’s truck may have issues if indeed it has less of a “holeshot”. Good luck.

Q: 1992 Chevy S-10 turns over but won’t start?
I’m driving a 1992 Chevy S-10 4.3L V6 that belongs to my dad. It’s started cutting off on me while I’m driving it. At first I thought it was a loose spark plug wire on the distributor end, but I realize now that isn’t it. Like I said it turns over, but it won’t start. I pretty sure it’s an electrical problem, because I can smell gas afer I try to crank it a few times. I’m not where to start though, I don’t know if it’s the spark plugs or wires because my dad’s not sure when the last time was he replaced them, the only time he ever drove it was a trip or two on the weekend every now and then. Other than that I figure it could be the coil pack or something with the distributor. Like I said though, I’m not sure where to start because I really don’t know that much about cars. Any advice? Thanks.

A: With most conventional motor there are 3 things that it needs to run, 1 fuel which you said you have. 2 spark, to test this get a spark plug put it in the end of the lead and test each lead and have someone turn the motor over, if all of them work you need to test each spark plug, 3 the timing, the timing is something that you should consult mechanic or a repair book to inspect or repair, depending on the type of motor in your car eg, overhead cams, E.F.I, EVCT and ect. it could be a crank angle sensor, a blown fuse or as you said coil pack

Q: what cost should I expect to replace front steering parts on my 1992 chevy s-10 blazer?
tie rods, upper and lower ball joints etc

A: 600$ for parts and labor.

Q: how much horsepower does a stock 1992 chevy s-10 have?
i am getting ready to put a new cam in and i want to increase the horsepower as much as possible. i just need to know where i am starting at

A: If your asking about the 1992 S-10 Pick-up there are two different engines used.First the 2.5 liter I4 engine with 105 HP and 135 lbs of torque.Second the 4.3 liter V-6 with 160 HP and 235 lbs of torque Best of luck..

Q: how hard is it to change an idler arm on a 1992 chevy s-10 blazer?
and where is it located

A: It’s not hard if you have all the right tools. You are going to have to have it aligned after it is changed, though, so why not just let the front end shop put it on before they align it, and you won’t have to buy tools you won’t ever need again. You would be money ahead to let someone else do it.

If you still feel you should do it yourself, get yourself a Chilton’s or Haynes manual for your car. They are available at most parts stores, and are only about $10. It will walk you through the procedure, step by step. It will also help in the future with any other repairs you want to tackle.

Q: 1992 Chevy S-10 engine (Plugs)?
Does a 1992 Chevy S10 2.5L 4 cylinder 5-speed manual have a distributor cap or coil pack?

A: The 2.5L four-tech is a distributored engine with a cap and rotor, and a remote ignition coil.
Hope this helps. Christopher
A 2.2L is direct ignition/coil pack.

Q: 1992 Chevy S-10 won’t start?
The truck battery is fully charged and when you turn the key you can hear starter click once, but then nothing, can push start and will run fine until you turn it off and then same thing happens, gauges say that the battery is charging when i push started it

A: You have a classic case of buying a POS chevy. your going to need to sell it and buy a ford maybe a ranger

Q: 1992 chevy s-10 blazer 4.3 liter 2wd v6?
what fuel pump do i need for this blazer. when i shut off the key it activates the pump, fuel comes into line above airbox, covers up central injector. I need the specs for both the VIN letter vehicles W and Z. any help will be greatly appreciated.

A: If your fuel pump turns on with the key off… you have more then a fuel pump issue. Go to a mechanic to get the wiring checked out.
Do you hear the pump?
The lines are always under pressure… and this should have nothing to do with the fact of having Central Port Injection. I need more details in your question for a more accurate diagnosis.

If you ask a mechanic at the dealership nicely (Bring Coffee’s) They will most likely help you out and give you a schematic.

Q: Chevy S-10 Blazer 1992. The A/C fan quit. What should I do?
I replaced both of the switches, I have checked the fuses (all good) I’ve tested the wires and the one going from the fan to relay was good. And from the relay to the switch is good. What else can be wrong?
It’s got an almost brand new engine in it and it’s paid for, I’m not pushing it in a ditch!

A: Roll down the window fast!!

Sorry, sis, that’s the best I can do.:)
