Q: Chevy Silverado 2500 for sale and i want to buy?
Im looking at this chevy 2500 6.0 litre truck, it has 140,000 k miles on it. Its being sold for 7995 im stuck. Is this a good deal? It has leather int, with quad cab, 4×4. its a 2002 chevy 2500 6.0 litre truck, kelly blue book puts it at 12,000 in perfect condition, which its not, and yes i did put the milage on kbb.

Well I’ll be driving in less than a year and I want a truck I LOVE Chevy’s but I heard they tend to have brake problems? I guess I just want to know about that if you have one or other problems they might lead to have or even what you like about it. I wanted to know this because I was up north and there was a 98 chevy silverado for sale and my grandpa told me they had horrible braking systems.

A: On my Silverado I replaced the rotors and pads on front. On the rear I replaced the shoes and wheel cylinders. This was right about at 100k miles. It now has 177k miles and the brakes are still fine.

Q: 1977 Chevy C20 Silverado Pickup 4×4 for $2500?
I’ve seen a 1977 Chevy C20 Silverado 4×4 on sale for $2500 and I’m wondering if it’s a good deal or not, it has a rebuilt 350 V8, 350TH, 4″ lift, 33″ tires, lots of new parts and it runs/drives great, body/interior are in good shape and the truck has a little bit of rust.

A: This is a hard question to answer. It really depends on the market where you live and also how much attention to detail there was during the time of installing the new parts. If it really is in good running condition and cosmetically in decent shape, it is werth every pennie. In some places that truck would be more like $6K, but then again in some place like in Las Vegas were I live most people only want to buy newer stuff. which is a bonus for people interested in the old stuff. It helps keep the price down. One thing is for sure everthing on that truck is easy to find and cheep. to rebuild the motor is around $1200, tranny $500, and tranfer case is also around $500. All the suspension is cheep because it went from 1973 through 1987 on almost every fullsize truck and suv that GM made. Infact the suvs were the same suspention through 91.

6cylinder , regular cab with air, its has only 52000 miles on it, 2 wheel drive, good deal ?
when i took it for a test drive heard water moving behind dash , what could that be? was told because it is so cold out -2 that it was anitfreeze moving into heater core? does that make sense?other than that truck drove good but needs a alignment, any advice appreciated

A: Well the v6 will not tow around alot of weight….You should buy a 4×4 because resale is higher than a 2×4…..I,d get a duramax 2500….You,ll always have enough power and diesel is cheaper than gas.

I have a 99 (new body) Chevy Silverado 1500 Ext Cab 4×4

I love my truck, and I’d like to put running boards on it
There are a million Chevy Silverados and GMC Sierras for sale on craigslist in Boise, and half of them have running boards

I’m going to make an offer to buy the running boards off of somebody’s truck, but before I do, I want to make sure that they are bolt on instead of weld on

How much work is it going to be to take these off and put them on?

A: I have an 06 extended cab with tubular assist steps. Looking to sell them as the lease is over next month. Anyway, most of these steps use the bolts for the frame. Remove them, hold step up to hole and reinstall, no drilling or welding needed.

Q: 1998 and 1999 Chevy Silverado,Tahoe,Suburban Question?
I thought that the body style of the 1998 Silverado,Suburban and Tahoe’s were different from the 1999 style ? But If you search for those Trucks and SUV that are for sale on the web you’ll get both styles. Why do they put those to styles together? Is there a year confusion when a style of vehicle make changes style of what year it is? Is it that they combine them because when the new year of style comes the dealerships are still selling off last years models? If you know anything about this some help would be appreciated. Thanks

A: the body style of the tahoe and suburban are the same for 96-99. As for the silverado, it is a different chassis obviously, but the trucks are usuaally listed the same for many of the parts, because in lamen terms, all three are essentially the same other than the suburban being extended and the silverado haveing a bed. Very few differences other than specifics that differentiate them by their chassis styles. if you are seeing a 99 that is a different body style, its actually a 2000 that is being tagged a 99 during the chang over period in the fall.

Q: Does anyone have a set of Chevy brand wheels and tires for sale. ?
Send pics if you got them, and how much. I’m looking for a certain type, but I will consider anything. they have to be a least 20″ and have the pressure sensors already built in. I will be putting them on a 2007 Silverado, and they MUST BE CHEVY BRAND.
